Plot 51 in June

Plot 51 in JuneThings have perked up in the last month despite the mixed weather.

The patty-pan squash and cherokee climbing french beans are taking to their wigwams and the charlotte potatoes and oca are ready to earth up. The carrots and a few beetroot survived the slugs and all of the radicchio are growing fast as are the raspberries. The tomatillos are just about still there but if they don’t get any sun soon I fear for them.

I’ve sown more beetroot, radishes, coriander, parsley and marigolds. I’ve also planted sweet william flowers behind the raspberries ready for next summer.
