I’ve planted carota in the coldframe to protect them from slugs and carrot fly. The potatoes and oca in the sacks are growing fast and nearly ready to ‘earth-up’. Wigwam is up for the french beans and warming the soil under cloches ready for the seedlings. The scallop patty-pan squash are in but are struggling with yet another cold snap in the weather. In their second year the raspberries are shooting up all over the place. Parsley and coriander in but are slow to germinate and won’t see them for a while.
